Use heading tags correctly (or just give up on SEO)
Heading tags are just a no-brainer. The most important stuff goes in the <h1>, less important stuff goes in <h2> and down the line to <h5>. Oh, and you can only have one thing in <h1> on each page, and you can have a couple <h2>’s a few <h3>’s and so forth and so on.
(A more complete discussion on header tags is here…)
…Not a terribly difficult thing to understand…
But you would be amazed at how many times I come across a site that has been “SEO Optimized” and they don’t even have the title in an H1 tag. Oh my God!
Get your tags right, get your rankings right… that’s what my Grandma always says.

Great post Brad!
May seem stupid, but a technologically challenged guy like me has no knowledge of title tags, so this was a great little introduction.
Looking forward to what you have coming!
How do you apply this in WordPress posts by the way?
