Although it won’t help your SERP rankings at all, you can get some good traffic by answering questions in your niche and linking to your site within the answer.

How to Cheat Yahoo Answers:

Your answer (and your link) will get a more prominent position on the page if it is chosen as the best answer.  Most answers rarely get any votes.  So you can go in and vote your answer to be the best and usually 1 vote will win for you.

    I’ve used that technique and it does work! If played correctly, it pays off.
    Yahoo answer is usually well ranked in SERPs. SO if you’re picked as best answer you’ll get indirect traffic from search engines…

    Yes, I have been doing this. I have been lurking around and looking for questions that have no answers, and hope the asker does not come back. So far I have had good success with having a *coughfriendcough* go back and vote for my answer being the best - therefore winning best answer.

    I’ve actually been doing this for some time now. However, it’s time consuming and with all the questions asked on Yahoo Answers everyday, there are only a few click throughs to my link.

    Have never had much luck with yahoo answers for traffic at all. I think targetted forum posts or articles can work alot better.
