Link Bait: Anyone can do it….

Getting tons of links from a good article isn’t really as hard as it seems. If you wanna get some mad links, check out some of these resources on how to create Link Bait…
- Problogger on Linkbait
- Jim on Linkbait
- Cornwall SEO on Linkbait
- Smashing Magazine on Linkbait
- Search Engine Journal on Linkbaiting
So once you get an idea of how to linkbait, you’ll want to start with the smaller social bookmarking sites like Mixx, Phinn, Plugg, and all of those niche little guys.
Then when you’ve got a couple of homeruns under your belt, enter into the Digg, Delicious, etc world and start really grabbing some links.

It really is all about links isn’t it? I JUST started my blog after reading John Chow for a bit. He is obviously successful, but I have found more useful information about how to succeed by reading smaller blogs like this one. I have tried to target Digg for linkbait before but I think that about a million other people are doing it as well. I think what would be useful is a comprehensive list of niche social networking sites.
I’ve never been able to create good link bait, and I’ve read tons of articles.
Links really are the crux of SEO….it is just inevitable

Hi, thanks for the tips, have not some bad luck with link baiting before but some of these new ideas seem like good ones to try. Wish me luck.
It’s all about linking. Some companies pay to get linked, while others, specially the small ones can do it on their own using Digg or Delicious Popular, Reddit, TechMeme, and Magnolia to drive quality traffic. Do consider also aggregator sites like PopURLS.
